Dunleavy addresses voters

Governor Dunleavy needs to stand with Alaskans, not foreign mining companies.

On July 26, the state of Alaska filed a desperate and reckless lawsuit on behalf of foreign mining company Northern Dynasty asking the United States Supreme Court to reverse the EPA’s decision to veto Pebble Mine under the Clean Water Act. In doing so, Governor Dunleavy has turned his back on the majority of Alaskans who support permanent protections for Bristol Bay from large-scale mining like Pebble Mine.

The EPA’s authority to protect Bristol Bay under the Clean Water Act is clear and backed by a robust scientific and technical record that spans two decades and has achieved broad bi-partisan support. Tragically, Governor Dunleavy continues to ignore Alaskans, EPA authority, and long-standing judicial processes, all to help a foreign mining company.

Stand with Bristol Bay. Forever.
